How To Roof Rake
1. Be Safe - Dont stand near falling
snow or ice. Don't roof rake a home that has
power lines connected to the roof. You will get
electricuted. Assemble the rake and use to the
directions on the box.
2. Ice Dams - Roof Rake 2-3 feet of the edges
of all roofs clear. This allows melting snow to
drain and not be trapped under snow and ice that
will get into your home.
3. Snow Loading/Collapse. Rake off as much as
you can. Keep up with the snow. Deep snow very
high up can be a problem and we recommend the
Roof Razor for this.
4. Make sure you tighten the bolts very tight
so they dont come loose.
Ice Dams and Insurance. According to CPCU 551
Property Text Book.
